This week parents and carers had the opportunity to work in school with their children to collage a poppy petal. This will form part of our whole school topic on World War 1 and become part of the school’s arts week display.
On Monday 23rd June Year Four went to Rochdale Town Hall for the raising of the flag ceremony. This was to commemorate Armed Forces Day. A fantasic effort by all the children in year 3 who attended our first Cross Country Competition at Broadfield Park. They competed against children from Little Heaton Primary School and Broadfield School, in conditions which can only be discribed as extermely Hot! I big well done to all who competed.
On Friday 13th June the children in year 5 went to visit the Spiritans Just Youth Team in Salford. During their visit they learnt how to prepare themselves to be good Year 6 role models.They worked in groups playing games, making posters and having discussions.
