In the second part of the term, we will learn about some of the physical features of Britain and its towns and cities. In Science we will look at plants and what keeps them alive and helps them to grow.
During the Spring term, we will study at volcanoes, rivers and earthquakes and how this links with our science topic of rocks. We will do some interesting investigations into the properties of rocks and demonstrate how a volcano erupts. Later in the Spring Term, we will look at Rochdale and the importance of the Rochdale Pioneers in the cooperative movement. We will study magnets in science and discover more about the properties of materials.
In the Summer term, Year 3 will be learning about the Ancient Greeks. We will look at their life, culture, inventions and what they did that has impacted our lives today. We will also learn how to use a map to find different places using the 8 points of a compass. In science we will look at animals including humans and what we need in order to live healthily.
