Castleton Primary Basketball Practise

A big thank you to Castleton Primary school who invited us to join them a their weekly basketball practise,  The staff and pupils made us feel very welcome and the children from both schools played a number of short games alongside each other.  We hope to return the invite in the near future.


Basketball League

On Monday 18th January our basketball team competed in our first league event.  Although the children didn’t win their matches the spirit and determination  shown by our children was fantastic.  We will continue to take part in monthly league fixtures throughout the year.

Athletics Wardle Acadamy

On Thursday 14th January a number of our year 5 and 6 children attended a multi sports event, hosted by Wardle Academy.  The children competed against a large number of other schools  in the different events including, standing long jump,vertical jump,spring bounce and a number of indoor team relay events,  The children were absolutely brilliant.


Sparks Gym

On Wednesday 13th January a small group of children attended a gymnastics and movement event at Sparks Gym Heywood. The children who attended were given the opportunity to use gymnastics equipment and work with other schools.  The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Epiphany Celebrations

Happy New Year! We began our new year together by celebrating the feast of the Epiphany. The Spiritans worked with our Foundation / Key Stage One children and led them in a liturgy of celebration and this was followed by a wonderful assembly all about the three kings.
