We were delighted to see so many Mums and carers for our special Mothers’ Day meals on Wednesday and Thursday. Everyone had a lovely time and commented on how good our school dinners are! Thank you to all of the ladies in our kitchen for your hard work.

On Friday we held a non-uniform day asking our children for donations to CAFOD’s Make a Splash campaign. Following this, throughout Lent, we will continue to collect as many 1p, 2p, 5p coins as we can to fill our water bucket.
On Thursday 3rd March we will be celebrating World Book Day in school. During the week, the whole school will study the same book without words, which means that you can tell your own story! On Tuesday 23rd February, Miss Murphy our sports coach, took our football team from Years 5 and 6 to St Mary’s RC Primary School in Middleton for a tournament, the children thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and we look forward to the next tournament.

On Friday our Year 3 children presented their assembly to our parents/carers all about Presentation. This is where the children, who are joining in the Sacramental Programme, are presented to Our Lord as their journey begins. The children were fantastic,acting out and reading their different parts. This week three of our Year 6 children took part in a Boccia and new age Kurling Event at Wardle Academy. This was the first time our school have participated in this particular event. The children enjoyed themselves and showed some supper skills.
