On Thursday the 3rd of December Father Patrick celebrated our first Advent Mass in the school hall and Mrs Dungworth lit the first advent candle on our Advent wreath, During the mass children from Key Stage 2 did readings and children from Key Stage 1 presented the offertory.
On Wednesday we were delighted to welcome parents/carers to our Advent Café, which was a lovely opportunity to share and reflect on God’s word as well as to come together at this special time of preparation.
Well done Year 3 for a wonderful assembly on the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The children talked about the different parts of the sacrament and their own thoughts on what sin is. They wrote their own sorry prayers and told the story of Zacchaeus through drama, showing how Jesus changed the Tax Collector’s heart. Please pray… Read more »
The children, this week, have all written out their Advent Promises – these are now displayed in the school hall, the children considered their CARITAS work on Family and Community and their promises are very thoughtful. Please do talk to your child about their Advent promise.
We have some new fish in our reception area which the children have greatly enjoyed naming.
