This week statement to live by is ….
I can say how I feel.
A man by the name of Lazarus was sick in the village of Bethany. He had two sisters, Martha and Mary. The sisters sent a message to Jesus and told him that his good friend Lazarus was sick. By the time Jesus got to Bethany, Lazarus was dead.
Mary, the sister of Lazarus, went to where Jesus was. Then as soon as she saw him, she knelt at his feet and said, ‘Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.’
Jesus started crying and the people said, ‘See how much he loved Lazarus.’
Jesus was still terribly upset.
The Gospel of the Lord
It is important that we know how we are feeling and that we can share that with someone if we choose to. It is also good to know that Jesus had all the same feelings that we have. I’d like to invite you all to try to stop two or three times during the day – maybe before playtime, before dinner and before you go home ( and your teachers will help you with this!) just to check in with your feelings.
