On Friday 12th June we celebrated our Feast Day.
First thing in the morning the children in Key Stage Two walked to Sacred Heart RC Church to celebrate Mass and the children in Foundation/Key Stage One watched the Mass via the Parish website.
We were delighted to welcome the Pupil Chaplains from St Edmunds RC who joined our feast day celebrations which, Miss Fleming and our pupil chaplains’ had planned and prepared.
After Mass the Chaplains from the two school’s had time together to share their ideas and to work together to create some beautiful butterflies and explore different painting techniques.
Each of the classes made a heart and wrote on to it how they will try to love Jesus more. During the afternoon’s liturgy led by both sets of chaplains the children across the school offered their hearts and shared their prayers.
They day ended with a special treat of strawberries and ice-cream!
