School Life

Our Roman Catholic Statement to live by is “I try to keep going when things get difficult and not give up hope”

On Tuesday we once again , welcomed parents/carers parishioners to our Lenten Mass in the school hall celebrated by Father Patrick and Father Josephat.  The theme of the Mass was Sharing/love.    This was followed by an opportunity for the children in Years 4 – 6 to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.   Our last Lenten Mass together will be celebrated next Tuesday 26th March in the school hall 9.10 am all welcome.

Also next Tuesday 26th March 2.30 pm  Lent Café Church – come  along and have a chat, a drink, a cake and pray and make something that you can use with your child at home.

Congratulations to the winners of our web site competition who received a box of chocolate

Music Festival

We are very proud of the recorder group who performed so well.  We would like to say how proud we are of the way the recorder group gave up their dinner times and had to  work really hard at home.  The Samba Band also did brilliantly and again they too gave up  dinnertimes so they could represent school.

Congratulations to our guitarists who achieved honours.

Our Talented Tinies were wonderful and proved that they really are stars of tomorrow

Mothers/Carer Day

Thank you for your generous support.  The gift sale raised £362.

It was lovely to see so many of you enjoying a drink and a cake. The cakes were delicious – thank you to Year 2 and Mrs Fenton.

World Book Day

The children had a wonderful time enjoying  books.  Mr Welsh, one of our governors, was tremendous and went around school reading stories.  Mrs Fenton rose to the challenge and the children loved her chocolate  cake though some of us weren’t too keen on the brains!

Anti-Bullying Day – KS2 worked in their house groups looking at how we can say NO to name calling.  We were delighted to welcome St Cuthbert’s BIG HEARTS and Mrs Ansley (St Cuthberts’ new Chaplain)

Little Hearts – for children aged 0-3 started  on Tuesday  19th March at 2.45 pm and we were thrilled with the number of you who were able to attend.

Big Hearts – we are  delighted to welcome  four of our former pupils to be our link with St Cuthberts – Gabbi, Orla, Codie and Deacon

During the school year they will be working in school with our children.

The school community thanked Mrs Holt and Mrs Walsh for all their support over the years – they will be missed by the children and families
