This weeks statement to live by is:

I think before I make choices that affect my health.

The Pharisees got together and they tried, as they often did, to trick Jesus.  They asked him, “Master, which is the greatest commandment of the ten?”  Jesus answered them, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the greatest and the first commandment.  The second is very like it:  You must love other people as much as you love yourself.”

So Matthew tells us that Jesus says we must love God with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind”. Then he tells us we must love other people us much as we love ourselves.  Sometimes we make the wrong choices and don’t love others or ourselves as God asks us to.

You have given us the freedom to choose happiness

Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy

You have made us responsible for our actions,

Christ have mercy

Christ have mercy

You have called us to live in peace and harmony

Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy

May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life.  Amen.

You have given us freedom in our lives, God our Father.

With this freedom we can bring sorrow or joy to ourselves and to others.

Help us to use our freedom in a responsible way.

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
